• People who are U but have clever explanations for how they did PA might be in a way healthier than A who can't explain their correct stories. 266
• Very high PA and PC more likely an indication of being highly suggestible. 266
• A+u+ not an indication of extreme social sensitivity so much as suggestibility. 267
• Some very sick people are very high PA - they respond so much to what others want that others think they understand (are mature) when they don't. 267
• Very high PA common in the "old time" psychopathic personality. 267
• In Wechsler's original book it is noted that prison populations (and young delinquents) are high PA. 268
• Low or high PA has much more effect on early development than later in life. 269
• I and U early in life stubbornly remains non-engaged. 269
• I and A early in life will be "all things to all people" and thought of as more mature than the person is. 270
• I and U in early life will be seen as a slow maturer. 270
• Often people see an adult an say "He is A" and then test says a U. This is due to pressure to modify and make social adjustment. 271
• Likewise, people say "He is definitely not A" but is an A. 271
• IRU very deceptive profile - can "be practically anything." 271
• IRU naturally non-responding - if he responds it depends on the people teaching him. 272
• IRU can be good at something - having been taught it - but not involved in it (e.g. strip-tease). 272
• IRU actor with good coaching can be very good - an I has to learn how to show emotion. 273
• IRU actor can easily show feelings they do not have. 273
• I and A is best at showing feelings they don't have. 273
• IA psychopath - another person is not aware that the IA is not as involved as he appears to be. 273
• IU not as deceptive as IA - learns conscious awareness of meanings of his feelings. 273
• A is healthy with a decline in PC - moving in developing another skill than what others think of him. 274
• Intellectually IRA likely resist social image and favor intellectuality. 274
• U likely to get people to accept him based on skill or intellectualizing.274
• U with PC going up - awareness that individual has to improve their image to gain acceptance. 274
• A has to disprove his image so his image does get him over-accepted. 275
• IFA girl especially may move to gain acceptance for something other than image. 275
• JFK and many movie actors have a "charisma" that is A. 275
• "Photogenic" people are likely A. 275
• Movie actors/actresses more likely A and stage are U. 276
• EU has most difficulty smiling on demand (e.g photo). 276
• A with very high PC most likely to not understand stories - does it quickly by cues. 277
• A with some defense a little slower on stories as he gets meaning. 278
• U on PC considers other thing missing, bad drawings, is cautious. 278
• Discussion of how a U might evaluate PC items like pitcher and boat. 279
• A picking up cues and story does not mean he understands. 280
• See A/U in nursery school (day care) and first grade. A responds immediately to what the teacher wants and gets attention. 280
• Teacher hostile (day care/first grade) to those (U) who don't respond.280
• EU will be the trouble maker. EA over responds but does respond the cues of what is wanted. 281
• IU (day care/first grade) not a trouble maker but disturbed - got to get his attention. 281
• Teacher will work to calm down EU. 281
• IA (day care/first grade) best behaved of all - responds to social cues but behind that facade maintain autistic (inward) distance. 281
• IA danger: appears in contact when they are not. 281
• EA danger: looks disciplined but out of control. 281
• IU and EU put under more discipline. 281
• First grade "president" likely IA - best behaved. 282
• President of senior class is likely EU who has worked all his life to develop the skill to get rewarded. 282
• IA and EA more likely to be over graded because deportment is so much a quality of early school performance. 282
• In college, A may find he is not as smart as grades indicate. 283
• ERU can be the one hostile to environment because it is not as rewarding of his efforts as he expects.283
• ERU when frustrated or denied, acts out, IRU withdraws within the system. 283
• In American system, frustrated ERU can move around till they find somewhere to be successful. 284
• Note: In old Soviet system, little opportunity to move around. 284
• IN the US there are many cultures for ERU to escape to. 285
• IRU or ERU can be ludicrous when they have learned a role inappropriately and perserver in it without awareness of how bizarre it is.285
