Hospital sample - most information comes before PAS was formulated. 411
Sample is half male and half female and ages 18 to around 60. 412
From an Oklahoma hospital - some urban people (Oklahoma City) and otherwise rural. Farmers to laborers to oil field workers. 412
(Case: Euu+ R+u+u+ Auu+ L white male, aged 30, 3rd grade education, oil worker)
First case 30 year old male: Very primitive PAS. R+u+ - little insight and self-centered and self-preoccupied. 412 413
Euu+ so very little or no mental control. 413
Ruu: immaturity, impulsivity => acting out, immature, inappropriate behavior. 413
If (it is not) Euu+ Ru+u+ and U - social adaptation would be bad - negativism, refusing to conform, peculiarity. 413
Auu+: Can mask over-reactivity, over-responsiveness in inappropriate behavior. 414
Low activity level: little control of over-reactivity. 414
Active and perseverating individual, invulnerable to correction due to lack of insight. 414
Smaller town urban laborer hospitalized once and not again in 10 years. 414
Never married but turned down many times. 415
Clinical: no marked antisocial activity. 415
Picked up multiple times for indecent exposure but never aggressive - sheriff brought to hospital for multiple reasons. 416 417
Transcript of interview with patient denying. Doctors recommend sending back to Illinois (where other arrests were). 420 421
Low activity level - will act out as he feels but not bottle up and get aggressive. Over reactive but not aggressive. 421 422
(Case: 24 year old male Euu Ruu A+uu H common laborer, 8th grade)
A+ - victim of other's expectations. 422
A+ will act in - avoid doing an overt act because he is afraid of getting in trouble - confusion. 423
R+u+ in first case means perseverates. 423
More bewildered Ru than R+u+ because he knows something is wrong. 423
Admitted, escaped, readmitted for 1 year and discharged, readmitted next year for 4 months - not heard from again in 10 years. 424
First admission physical problems - can't remember much. 44
