Session 3 - Part 3
The first 4:45 of Part 3 is a repeat of the end of Part 2.
Note: This lecture pre-dates the
PASF Journal article - "The
Fourth Dimension of the PAS
Note: The method of scoring the 4th dimension in the journal
article differs from the more recent method proposed by Saunders which is
used in the formula calculator on this web site.
- Not prepared at first thinking - this is what is happening.
Illustrations:
- Stress insulated - laid back passive. Insensitive to confrontation. Gcu
Methodical and persevering. Most likely high A, S, C, I. Response to stress
is intellectual, informational, out-think them. Ralph Nadar, Cyrus Vance.
- Gu, Tc Rockford in Rockford files - stress walks in door and he isn't prepared
but puts you off and he just goes and does what is needed.
It costs him a lot - long suffering.
Once gets into action handles with G capability.
- High Digits but low in TE. Learn well but impatient. Lower TE the
greater degree of frustration close to hyperactive, manic type behavior.
- Guc task master - poly active. Instead of dispassionate under stress,
mobilizes the troops and blasts away at what is stress generating.
- Tcc - over extended under stress. Takes on too much.
- Both Guc and Tcc "drive you nuts" - hyperactive.
E and especially G. Very now oriented. "Stress generating".
E will drive others nuts. I drive themselves nuts - phone rings and that
becomes priority.
They are not ineffective but not cost conscious in how they use resources.
"Perpetual state of crisis" typical of Tuc.
- The "now" orientation is very hard for counselors.
- Tuu impassive 4th dimension equivalent Euu or Uuu.
Tuu dream is a stress free environment. Three mile island caused by this
(who are also Iu) - watch dials all day and then did not know what to do
when something odd happened. First sign of crisis can destroy.
- (Chart cannot be seen) Array of 25 "normals" (students, college
admins, people seeking later education). 25 former criminals.
Distribution of these people of Gu, Gc, Tu, Tc.
52% of normals are contact G and 48% contact T.
48%/52% on TE for normals.
40/60 split on DSY consistent with data bank. Mean of DSY in US database
is 1/2 below NL.
Now criminals: find this:
"Successful" criminals - did OK prior to arrest. Survived incarceration.
Contact g (stress complacent / stress tolerant) 76%
24% in the "drive you nuts" categories.
56% stress tolerant, don't do much. Guu?
- 29:00 talk about next possible session on reference groups.
- Note: profiles cluster in PAS space and there are black holes. Saunders
has set the task of redefining the landscape by sorting on 4th dimension
and then into things like the responsibility cluster and identifies
constellations.
- This will involve looking at arrays of "look alikes".
