PAS Seminar
Session 11 - Interpreting the "o" Part 4
pasc11-01-4

Continue with case:

20 year old male college student in sophomore year.
Not doing well - saw Bob cause did not know what he wanted to do -
  was kind of depressed.
14(I+ou Rcu A-co) M Goo

Primitive I+RA-
+ and - give you stress and emphasis.

Basic: e*- f* u*
Surface: i° f\ u°

IRA in first decade seen as superior kids. Models of kids.
Learn by rote. Socially versatile. Sits comfortably in school.

So interpreting "o" on I- where did it come from: I+ so an o
is more of a compensation than if coming from an I-.
So some intellectual ambivalence - emphasize learned E or my I.
(Information score 12 so just barely u)

So surface is really like an "o"

Think of primitive I+RA-
IRA chameleon. Learns without insight. Seen in 1st decade as superior kids.

RA learns appropriate social behavior. Sit well in school.
Adolescence: R's don't have insight. Always playing other people's games
   but no investment (I+).
IRA has adolescent turmoil. Often act out.

Still maturing. Information and Comprehension low.

E depressed - it shows. Happy ERA very sunshiny.

Unhappy IRA just pale - passive.
I score just below Ioc- in mid-level college not really pushed.
Intellectually immature. I+ space out - spends a lot of time in room
     which he did.

What about Rcu

Scores:
C 12
D 17
A 11
S 14
BD 14
PA 12
PC 11
OA 12
DSY 12
CN 12
TE 11 Would call this Guo (current online would be Guu).

C like Information, just barely a "u". I+oc Rcc would be much
  more productive adjustment.

Rc - concerned with F aspects of life. Not quick practical about it.
Will lean in direction of helping other, but not necessarily practical.
Weird to too much energy for what they are worth.

Rcu "age of Aquarius" adjustment.

A- not strong. As a depressed I+ a ghost like quality to the social aspect.
A-c doesn't pay attention to cues.
Expect to be doing OK, but is not. Problem?

I+o and A "u" on Rc - not sure. Lot of ambivalence, especially
with close "C" and "I" scores.
Good high school line backer in football, not big enough for college.
Source of a lot of depression.
High school main achievement was football.

How schizoid is he? 12 on DSY - did not go into his head and
remember DSY symbols - This means still in contact and not all in head.

He is stress enabled. Needs things to be happening to be galvanized.
Pump has to be primed to start working.
When depressed - needs things to happen.
Nothing outstanding in him in his family.

Gave Strong-Campbell - depressed I+ will show little interest in anything.
General interests strongest in art. Quite talented.
School does not have art program.

Transferred to a school with art.
  Has procedural discipline.

May get to I+oc Rcc A-cc

Note: If surface "o" (which there is in NL2001) would have them on
   I and R.

Polyactive type - does well with lots going on.
  Really under stimulated.

Question: 4th dimension speak to stress of compensation.
In this case, not a lot of stress in the compensations.

If Icc Rcc Acc, fully compensated. Using a lot of energy
   monitoring himself.

   If Tuc - reactive -

This case: polyactive. Something wrong if sits in room. Pump is not
primed enough - depression. Has not found something to displace
  football.
Father pretty macho - how will art go over?

In a 40 year old, this profile pathological.
