PAS Seminar Session 15 - Case Studies Part 4 - Miscellaneous discussion (out of place) on PAS theory. |
pasc15a-01-4 (This session is part of something that is not continuous with the past one). Different test forms and NL methods change subtleties (e.g. R- vs F-) but not change an I+ to an E+. R- vs F- in a way does not matter. If has high "S" then will be mostly F behavior anyways. John Gittinger: If all subtests were purely intellect, not personality they would all cluster around NL. Note: Old multi color blocks make BD harder for Fs, but not Rs. Discussion of WAIS test makers work to eliminate the personality variables. Another instrument: Very difficult, expensive process. Standardizing takes experimenting on 10's of thousands of people to develop items. Then a true standardization on a couple thousand. Reality: Cannot teach PAS just from theory. Only way to teach people to use it is to tie it to the subtests.
