Part 5 - Notes Parts 5 and 6 show how to derive formulas from scores. The first part of "Part 5" is an interesting and relevant discussion on the theory of what Normal Level is. However, the actual method used to derive a formula from scores is one that was generally superceded by "NL 2001" which is available on this web site. NL 2001 was developed some years after these video sessions were recorded. The concepts of how formulas are derived from scores is useful, but we recommend that viewers don't try to learn the detailed math of the method from these videos. Instead use the formula calculater on this web site or the manual rules available.
